The Annual is Australia’s largest showcase of graduate art and design
Each year, The Annual launches a new generation of creative practitioners from the ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç School of Art & Design.
The exhibition highlights the interdisciplinary practices of students across 3D visualisation, animation, ceramics, drawing, experience design, fashion, furniture, game art, graphics, installation, interaction design, jewellery, moving image, object design, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, sound art, textiles, visual effects, and more.
The Annual 2025
This year's showcase features graduates from undergraduate degrees right through to PhD programs. 170 emerging artists, designers and makers will present new work across the ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç Paddington campus and online.Ìý

Eligibility
All students graduating from School of Art & Design coursework programs in 2025 can participate in the exhibition and/or website.
To be eligible, you must be completing all coursework in your program in 2025. Exceptions can be made if you have 6-12 units of credit in Electives, General Education or Professional Experience (PEP) remaining.
To be included in the exhibition, you must be available onsite at the Paddington campus for the delivery and collection of your work. This includes the installation period between 26 November - 4 December, and to pick up your work from 15 - 16 December.Ìý
Registration
To be included in either the exhibition or the website, you must register online.
The closes on 11.59pm Monday 1 September (Week 14, Term 2) for undergraduates, and 11.59pm Monday 13 October (Week 5, Term 3) for postgraduates. Late entries submitted after the deadline via email will not be accepted.

The Annual website is an opportunity to represent your practice through an online profile. This profile includes a 100-word statement about your practice, 1–5 high-quality images of your work, and links to your personal website and/or Instagram account.
Submission of at least one high-quality image is mandatory to be included in the website, and a maximum of five images will be accepted. These images do not need to be the finished work you are planning to exhibit, they just need to be indicative of your practice. Any images or statements supplied must be your own work and must not infringe copyright.

The Annual exhibition will be presented across the Paddington campus from 8 - 14 December 2025.Ìý
When proposing work for exhibition, please keep in mind that The Annual is a group show that accommodates works from a large cohort of students across multiple sites throughout the Paddington Campus. You may need to be flexible and will need to work with your course advisors to plan for the best presentation of your work in this context.
Installation
The Annual project team will design and install the exhibition in consultation with your course convenors. You will be notified of a specific date, time, and location to deliver your work between 10am - 5pm from 26 November - 4 December 2025. You will likely need to be onsite during install.
Students with 2D artworks must deliver their work with a suitable hanging system or D-rings attached for display. Students working in moving image should encode videos as a 1080p H264 format MP4 files. Single-channel video works may be displayed on a show-reel. Based on your submission, ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç staff will book AV equipment via the Resource Centre or ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç Galleries on your behalf. Please keep in mind that completing the registration form does not guarantee any equipment or installation requests.
Deinstallation
All works must be collected on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 December 2025 between 10am - 5pm. Works will not be released before these dates. It is the responsibility of all students to re-package and collect their works. Any works not collected on these dates will be disposed of.
