Artist statement

An excerpt from my Honours research this year, my work is focused on exploring the dynamics of the creative process through the lens of non-linearity and complexity. Applying a rhizomatic approach, it emphasises interconnected ideas and pathways rather than a traditional linear structure.

Through painting, drawing and photography, the project aims to produce an immersive and maximalist queer environment, reflecting themes of chaos and inner conflict in a world that feels increasingly unstable. I seek to challenge conventional ways of thinking and create a space where multiple perspectives can coexist, and that highlight the nuanced experiences of queerness and the tumultuous nature of contemporary life.
