Artist statement

My drawing practice explores universal experiences of memory, place, and time. Inspired by recent European travel, I shaped a story of longing and recognition, where ambiguous yet familiar forms evoke places that feel European without being specific. Each piece is a vignette balancing abstraction and representation, carrying an atmosphere of memory and distance. The works are unified through the presence and absence of sky, with jet streams reminding us we could always be elsewhere.
