Refurbishment project

We’ve moved – the Academy Library team is now located at LTN (Lower Ground)

ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç have been working with the Defence Projects Team on an exciting upgrade to the Academy Library! This project includes a much-needed refurbishment to the infrastructure of the building 13, levels 1 and 2. The refurbishment activities include:  a lighting upgrade, re-painting, re-carpeting, new shelving, new bathrooms, new fittings, and upgrades to student/staff study spaces, as well as additional furniture.

Alternate Library Service Desk at LTN (Lower Ground) now activated

There is no longer any client access to the library spaces and collections in Building 13.

Clients can now visit library staff at our alternate Service Desk on the lower-ground floor of Lecture Theatre North (B32, near SR03).

  • Printing, coping and scanning using multi-function devices. One MFD is in the cyber kitchen area (lower-ground, Bldg. 13) and another is at the Cadets’ Mess (Bldg. 4)
  • Loans from other library networks via the  (i.e. borrowing from other university libraries in the ACT region) or via interlibrary loan services (delivered to Canberra)
  • Extended virtual support via our library websiteÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý.
  • Extra furniture (providing more study seats) spaces have been set up across a range of common areas across campus including LTN L1, the Cadets’ Mess and Lecture Theatre South.

  • Special Collections’ access and delivery for students, academics & researchers will continue! All face-to-face services (including viewings, classes, consultations, events) will be delivered via temporary spaces on campus, with online curatorial support available via the  page.
