Alisha is an EdD candidate at ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç and a regional secondary English teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) with First Class Honours. Her research focuses on improving reading outcomes of both multimodal and print-based texts for students in regional NSW. Drawing on Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), her work explores how pedagogy can be adapted to build students’ literacy capacity and help them thrive in a digital world where the texts they encounter at school, in the workplace, and in their social lives are constantly evolving. She is committed to developing practical, research-informed approaches that support equity and excellence in English education across regional contexts.
