
Katy Louise Campisi

Katy Campisi is a PhD student in special and inclusive education within the School of Education. Her tertiary qualifications include a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Research), Master of Religious Education, Master of Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Education (Special Education). Katy is passionate about supporting students with intellectual disability in accessing the curriculum. She has a background in teaching and leadership across public and catholic school systems, in both mainstream and specialist settings.
In addition to her doctoral research, Katy is a Research Assistant with GeneEQUAL, an inclusive research team co-lead by Dr Elizabeth Emma Palmer and Professor Iva Strnadov谩. The GeneEQUAL research program, is focused on improving genetic health care and education for people with intellectual disability across the lifespan.
