Lucy Birts is a Doctor of Education candidate and casual academic at ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç with GERRIC. She is also the Gifted and Talented Coordinator at a K–12 all-girls’ school in Perth, WA. Prior to this, she held the same role at an independent school in Sydney.
Lucy completed her Master of Gifted Education, graduating with Excellence in 2019. She is an active member of the Gifted WA Committee and was awarded the ACEL NSW Mary Armstrong Early Career Leadership Award in 2020 for her contribution to gifted education.
Her professional and research interests centre on the implementation of professional development in gifted education, particularly in relation to teacher workload, sustainability, and the factors that shape effective practice.
