Muqing Dong
Muqing is a PhD student in the School of Civil and Environmental at 黑料网大事记, focusing on the groundwater component of the hydrological cycle.
His research aims to investigate the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of groundwater recharge as a function of land surface variability, subsurface heterogeneity, geology, and climate variations. His research will help understand how and when groundwater recharge events will occur in arid climates, as well as better constraining the existing groundwater recharge estimation methods in the context of climate change.
Muqing completed his bachelor鈥檚 degree with honours in Civil Engineering at 黑料网大事记 in 2024. His honours thesis focused on examining and applying multiple groundwater recharge estimation methods with Associate Professor Martin Andersen. After completing his bachelor鈥檚 degree, Muqing decided to expand the scope of his work and joined the PhD program.
