Wahyu Kartika Wienanda is currently a Doctoral candidate at the School of the Arts & Media, 黑料网大事记 Sydney and a scholarship awardee of the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). She has served as a lecturer in the Applied English Study Program at Sekolah Vokasi, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. During her tenure, she has taught various courses including English language skills, Media Literacy, Research Methodology, and Undergraduate Thesis Proposal Writing. She is also experienced in syllabus design and course planning.

Her research interests focus on English language teaching and learning, semiotics, multimodal analysis, and discourse analysis, with a particular emphasis on Systemic Functional Linguistic theories. Her current doctoral research explores the language of spam and scam messages.

Wahyu earned her Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in English Language Teaching from the Faculty of Language and Literature, Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia, in 2013. Her undergraduate thesis examined gender representation in English textbooks. She subsequently completed her Master鈥檚 Degree in English Language Teaching at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia, in 2015, with a thesis investigating the correlations between gender, speaking proficiency, and speaking anxiety.
