Our collection demonstrates hundreds of diseases

The Museum features examples of both infectious and non-infectious diseases. Thanks to vaccination and public health efforts, conditions like typhoid and diphtheria are now rare in Australia, while others such as HIV and tuberculosis, remain ongoing health challenges.

The collection also includes diseases linked to lifestyle factors, offering insight into the impact of smoking, alcohol, drug use, poor nutrition, and lack of physical activity. Exhibits on mental health further support a holistic understanding of disease and wellbeing.
