Leading experts in cardiovascular and metabolic medicine will delve into their practices and research on the use of glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) agonists, such as Ozempic. They'll unveil the latest studies and participate in dynamic panel discussions on the effectiveness of GLP-1RA in addressing diabetes, obesity and heart disease. We'll explore what's been studied and what areas still require further investigation including access to these medicines that are so high in demand.

Our speakers will share their personal journeys, discussing how they faced disappointment especcially in the field of cardiovascular space and either stayed the course or changed direction to turn challenges into successes. They will share their tips and lessons and open a very dynamic discussion!

The program will also cover a wide variety of topics, from basic science to clinical medicine, in different areas of CVMM. This includes Equity and Health, and New Frontiers in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine, where the latest innovations in these fields will be presented.
The symposium will feature a range of short sessions, led by both senior and early to mid-career researchers (EMCRs), covering the latest advancements, breakthroughs, and challenges in this rapidly evolving field.
