Yuwaya Ngarra-li recently commissioned Dr Bob Davidson to undertake a study of the changes proposed to the aged home care sector that will have major implications for the funding and regulation of community-controlled organisations like the Dharriwaa Elders Group and their capacity to provide culturally and community-oriented support and services for Elders. 

This comprehensive Briefing Paper, Caring for Elders, Community and Culture: A study of the potential impact of changes to the funding of home care on the aged care services provided by Dharriwaa Elders Group (DEG), may also assist other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and locally-based service providers to understand and respond to the proposed changes.
