New briefing paper | Food and Water for Life: Strengthening community-led initiatives, 2019-2024

We are pleased to share with you our first Yuwaya Ngarra-li Briefing Paper of 2025: Food and Water for Life: Strengthening community-led initiatives, 2019–2024. This publication evaluates the community-led activities of the Food and Water for Life program, an NHMRC-funded project to improve food and water security in Walgett.
These activities included community surveys, the Gali drinking water kiosk, the Meal of the Month initiative, the Walgett Aboriginal Medical Service community gardens, and more.
