A PhD scholarship in the field of Number Theory is available at ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç Sydney. The successful candidate will be supervised by Associate Professor Alina Ostafe, and, based on background and experience, they are expected to work in one of the areas of: Diophantine Specialisation Problems, Arithmetic Dynamics, or Arithmetic Statistics.
About you:
Candidates should have an Honours degree or a Master degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, with an overall GPA of at least 90%. Candidates should also have a strong background in algebra and number theory (algebraic and/or analytic), proven by relevant coursework and a written Honours or Master thesis.
Scholarship:
— from $39,206 per annum (tax free)
— $5,000 per annum top-up (tax free)
