The impacts of shifting fire season on plant population dynamics are being studied by the TRE group. This element of the fire regime is relatively understudied compared to fire frequency or fire interval.

We have ongoing work in this field. Projects include the recovery and reproduction of post fire flowerers and orchids, as well as shrub recovery in mediterranean systems of Western Australia.
Through Masters candidate Annabel Murray we have a project linked with the Waradjeri North East Company investigating the effect of cultural burns in different seasonsÌýÌý
