Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility听(NMR)

Personalise
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility

Who we are

We specialise in the analysis of materials and bio-materials using Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR and EPR) and听provide solutions for research and industry.

Our facility is equipped to international standards, featuring state-of-the-art instruments including:

  • 8 spectrometers for solution measurements

  • 4 spectrometers for solids and soft matter analysis

  • 1 spectrometer for electron magnetic resonance (EPR)

Additionally, we offer a dedicated computer room for off-line data processing and archiving.

Accreditation

Our facility is accredited by the听National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, which is the international standard used to demonstrate the competence of testing laboratories.

Capabilities

Science molecule icon
Polymer analysis
Comprehensive characterisation of polymer structures and properties. NMR spectroscopy is a useful tool for polymer analysis, delivering detailed insights into the structure and behaviour of the polymers.
Science molecule strucutre icon
Quantitative NMR (qNMR)
Precise quantification of pesticides, herbicides, and pharmaceuticals. Quantitative NMR is a valuable tool for accurate concentration measurements in various fields, including pharmaceuticals, polymer science, and metabolomics.
3d drawing 3 icon
Solid state NMR
In-depth analysis of clay minerals, cement, and other solid materials. Solid-state NMR is a powerful analytical tool for understanding the structure and dynamics of solid materials.
Science perspective icon
Quality control
Rigorous testing and verification of simple organic compounds. Set the acquisition parameters such as pulse program, delay time, and number of scans. These settings vary based on the sample and the desired sensitivity.
Science atom positive negative icon
Carbon material analysis
NMR spectroscopy is a valuable method for examining various carbon-based materials, providing insights into their structural and chemical properties.
Science cells icon
Structural elucidation
Determination of complex molecular structures. 2D NMR provides detailed information to deeply understand the structure of complicated molecules such as proteins.
Laboratory sample icon
Kinetics studies
NMR technique allows researchers to track how the concentration of reactants and products changes over time, giving valuable insights into reaction mechanisms and kinetics.
Diffusion NMR
Diffusion-Ordered Spectroscopy (DOSY) is measuring how fast molecules move through the solvent, DOSY provides insights into the size, shape, and interactions of the molecules. DOSY experiment is particularly useful in studying complex mixtures, polymers, and biological macromolecules.
Multinuclear NMR
NMR spectroscopy uses to study a wide range of nuclei beyond hydrogen (1H) and carbon (13C). The powerful of NMR can involve examining other nuclei for instant; nitrogen (15N), phosphorus (31P), fluorine (19F), silicon (29Si), and many other nuclei.
