Dr Annabel Matison

Annabel’s research explores the interplay between social determinants of health and ageing, with a focus on dementia. She completed her PhD at ��¼� in 2024, where her dissertation investigated the connections between nutrition, genetics, and depression in older adults using data from several large international consortia. Annabel also holds a Master of Human Nutrition from Deakin University. Her work uses international datasets to reveal how social determinants influence dementia risk and healthy ageing, aiming to guide better interventions and policies to improve health outcomes for older adults.
