
Professor Daoyi Dong
Dr Daoyi Dong is a Full Professor at the Australian National University and an Adjunct Professor at the School of Engineering and Technology, University of New South Wales, Canberra, and a Fellow of the IEEE, a Future Fellow of the Australian Research Council, a Fellow of Engineers Australia. He received a B.E. degree and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He had visiting positions at Princeton University, NJ, USA, RIKEN, Wako-Shi, Japan, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He is a recipient of a Humboldt Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, the inaugural ACA Temasek Young Educator Award from the Asian Control Association, an International Collaboration Award, a Discovery International Award and an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship from Australian Research Council, and K.C. Wong Postdoctoral Fellowship and a President Scholarship from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also a co-recipient of Guan Zhao-Zhi Award at The 34th Chinese Control Conference and the Best Theory Paper Award at The 11th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation. He was/is a Fellow of IEEE and an Associate Editor of several journals including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics.Â
