Jenny Robinson has had a long and rewarding career as a secondary school teacher and Head Teacher, as well as lecturing part time in Music Method in the School of Education. Jenny has also been the Director of the Secondary Methods Courses since 2019. HerÌý Master of Music (Music Education) thesis explored the characteristics of inspirational music teachers and her PhD focussed on 'Factors influencing the working lives of Australian secondary school music teachers'.

In 2025 Jenny was appointed as a lecturer in the School of Education, teaching in the Master of Education, Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Master of Teaching (Secondary) and Bachelor of Education (Primary) programs. Jenny is passionate about music education and sustaining teachers throughout their careers.

Jenny is the current Vice Chair of the Australian Society for Music Education (ASME) which promotes advocacy and professional development for music teachers.
