I have been successful in receiving funding as a principal investigator, including from the National Institutes of Health, the National Health & Medical Research Council (Australia), and the Australian Research Council. I have served as the Co- Director of the Enrichment Core for the National Institute of Nursing Research P30 Promoting Resilience in Persons with Multiple Chronic Conditions Promote Center (PI Szanton) and was also an advisor to the NINR Funded Palliative Care Research Collaborative (PI Kutner) and on the board of the influential Cambia Scholars Sojourns Leadership Program to advance palliative care.
