Project Snapshot
AgriCycle ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç is collaborating with AgriCycle Uganda to convert local agricultural waste intoÌýsustainable energy and green materials. The main purpose of our project is toÌýdrive community development inÌýthe agricultural sector.
About ChallENG Student Project
Our student project is a collaboration between students across different engineering disciplines and faculties to create a positive social impact. AgriCycle is a student-led humanitarian project focused on converting agricultural waste into useful energy through designing and optimising low-emission cookstoves.
AgriCycle was formed in 2017 after the original founder travelled to Uganda and noticed large volumes of rice husks were being discarded and going to waste. Since then, we have focused on utilisingÌýagricultural waste in the form of charcoal briquettes.
We are currently collaborating with AgriCycle Uganda to help them achieve their goals as a non-for-profit organisation; to reduce deforestation and supply energy to rural communities.
