Elementar IRMS
Specialisation of mass spectrometry
Description
Isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) is a specialisation of mass spectrometry that allows the precise measurement of the relative abundance of stable isotopes in a given sample. The natural variation in isotopic abundances in materials can be very small and require the use of an IRMS to measure them.
