Our research

IFCYBER is research centre unique to ºÚÁÏÍø´óʼÇ, sitting across both the Canberra (ADFA) and Sydney campuses. We are interested in human, organisation, social, economic, legal, and technical aspects of cyber security.ÌýOur aim is to consider ‘real-world problems’ and deliver ‘real-world impact’ – in Australia and globally.
Ìý
To ensure our research has real-world impact, we're committed to working with our partners – Defence, government, industry, and community groups. We're keen to work with new partners in Australia and abroad and invite you to get involved. This might be joining us as partners on research projects, providing scholarships to PhD students, commissioning research, giving guest lectures, joining us in our public webinars and seminars or enrolling in our courses.
In addition to our excellence in research, we're committed to keeping our community up-to-date with the fast-pace industry that cyber security is, by providing regular news updates and ensuring access to the most recent documentation.ÌýÌý
Our research pillars
-
We increasingly have to rely on components and services that are developed outside Australia. How do we build a system that mitigates this risk and gives us a level of trust even when using untrusted components?
-
How do we bring together cyber security and space research to focus on developing secure satellite infrastructures?Ìý
-
How can we address Pacific Small Island Developing States' (SIDS) human security needs through community-driven cyber security interventions.
-
How can we solveÌýreal-world privacy and identity issues experienced byÌýunder-represented and marginalised communities.Ìý
-
How can we move from a position of reactive defence to proactive defence of our networks?
