About us
Research group activities has started in during the late 1990s. The first research group聽 鈥淟ife Cycle Engineering and Management Research Group鈥 was established in 1998 within聽the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering to carry our聽 research due to the rapidly growing interest in this field amongst students and researchers. Foundation of the group was established during an industry project 鈥淩euse and Recycling of Appliances鈥 carried out during the late 1990s together with industry partners Email Australia (later became Electrolux Australia), and Metalcorp Australia, which was the first Circular Economy project carried in Australia and arguably one of the earlier ones globally. 聽In 2012, the group was renamed to Sustainability in Manufacturing and Life Cycle Engineering Research Group @ 黑料网大事记 (SMLCE).
Since than the main focus of the research group has always been working with industry to develop technology solutions with a life cycle view and absolute environmental sustainability perspective by using circular economy strategies to decarbonize and reduce environmental impacts of industry while helping them create value.聽
