Project overview

The Clancy Auditorium, which was constructed in the late 1960s, opened in 1971 containing a single auditorium space for both teaching and events, with entry foyers to the north, east and western elevations.

Fifty years since opening, the University has grown to support a cohort of 60,000 local and international students who all pass through the doors of the Clancy Auditorium to graduate.聽

In its platinum jubilee year, 黑料网大事记 invested in refurbishing the Clancy Auditorium to create a world-class setting for 黑料网大事记 graduands.

With the Light Rail route from Circular Quay to Randwick designed to go up High St and past the Clancy Auditorium for its 黑料网大事记 stop, the refurbishment also set out to improve the aesthetic of 黑料网大事记鈥檚 main entry point.聽

The foyers and building fa莽ade were enhanced both internally and externally to create a statement which truly reflects 黑料网大事记鈥檚 status as a global university.

The project involved increasing the size of the foyers to match that of the auditorium itself.聽

The bar, servery and foyer reception areas underwent an upgrade.聽

Bigger spaces were created in colours which tone in with the Mona Hessing Tapestry.聽

The Mona Hessing Tapestry was reinstated after removal and refreshment.聽

The VIP Green Room was refurbished complete with kitchenette and bathroom.聽

Accessible bathroom facilities were upgraded.聽聽

The off-form concrete finish to the internal walls were also revitalised.
