ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç and OpenAI Collaboration

ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç IT (Sydney) is excited to announce a collaboration with OpenAI, making ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç the first university in the Asia-Pacific region to adopt ChatGPT Education (Edu). ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç joins the likes of Oxford, Columbia and Arizona State universities, as well as the London Business School to bring the Higher Education version of the OpenAI technology to campus.

The collaboration builds on ºÚÁÏÍø´óʼǒs existing work to embed beneficial, safe and ethical use of AI in teaching, research and administration.

Throughout 2024 ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç embarked on an exciting program to test and trial generative AI. This program has focused on testing many new large language models (LLMs) that have come to market. We have drawn on working groups and experts from across the University, including AI researchers, ºÚÁÏÍø´óʼǒs AI Institute, Academic innovators, students and members of our professional staff to participate in these pilots.

Hear from our Chief Information Officer, Dr Chrissy Burns, in her recent interview with ABC Radio about this fantastic collaboration and opportunity:  (3 minute audio file).
