    International Research Forum on Multi-Owned Properties 2026
The International Research Forum on Multi-Owned Properties brings together researchers from around the world to share work on multi-owned properties, including condominium, strata property, common interest developments, housing cooperatives, and homeowner associations.
Organised by the City Futures Research Centre (ºÚÁÏÍø´óʼÇ), this edition of the Forum includes two days of presentations and a field trip.
This is the 8th edition of IFMOP after the successful editions in South Africa, Canada, Spain and Australia.

Call for abstracts
We'd like to invite interested presenters to submit a paper proposal on any research topic related to multi-owned properties. We welcome proposals from academics and practitioners, with priority given to papers drawing on the findings of systematic research.  Discipline and field of research areas may include but are not limited to:Â
- architecture
 - built environment
 - construction studies
 - design
 - economics
 - environmental science
 - law/policy
 - management
 - planning
 - property and real estate studies
 - social science
 - sociology
 - tourism studies
 
The format of the forum is designed to encourage collective engagement and relationship-building. The forum doesn't involve parallel sessions; selected papers will be presented in-person to the entire group, with 40-minute slots allocated to allow for a presentation followed by substantive group discussion. For this reason, only a limited number of participants will be selected to present alongside our keynote speaker.
If you'd like to present, please submit a title and abstract of no longer than 250 words by 28th August 2025Â to Hazel Easthope at hazel.easthope@unsw.edu.au. (You will be notified of the outcome no later than 21st September 2025.) We encourage presentations from postgraduate students and early career researchers, as well as more established researchers.Â
There'll be oneÌý²õ³¦³ó´Ç±ô²¹°ù²õ³ó¾±±è available for a presenter from the  to support conference registration and travel costs. If you'd like to apply for this competitive scholarship, please note this on your abstract submission. The award decision will be based on the quality of the title and abstract only. Â
°Â±ðÌýwelcome attendance from interested participants who don't wish to present but would like to join in the discussions. Please note that in 2026 we'll not be providing the option of online attendance, so we do hope that you'll be able to join us in person.

The Conference will be held at , Sydney (in the Sydney CBD).
There are many nearby hotels. The venue is also close to Wynyard Train Station and Martin Place Metro Station, and accessible from many parts of Sydney by train or metro.Â
