This project aims to gather firsthand accounts of people's views, preferences, and overall perceptions before and after the construction of the Oxford Street and Castlereagh Street cycleways. The installation of cycleways creates a safer riding environment for existing cyclists, leading to increased confidence and frequency of use. It also could foster interest in cycling and promotes a positive attitude toward bicycles among non-cyclists. The project will explore the perceptions of pedestrians and cyclists in different age groups and genders to assess the streets’ performance, including aspects such as safety, security, diversity, attractiveness, environment, and infrastructure.
