The NSW Ministry of Health drafted the Intellectual Disability Mental Health Strategy (IDMH Strategy). The Strategy is a plan for mental health services for people with intellectual disability and their families in NSW. The Strategy was written with ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç National Centre for Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health and the NSW Council for Intellectual Disability (CID). They asked people what should go in the Strategy.

The Ministry asked the university to do accessible consultations with people with intellectual disability to ask them about the draft Strategy. The consultations are online focus groups, activities at community events and ways to submit online information. The Social Policy Research Centre and the International Centre for Future Health Systems ºÚÁÏÍø´óÊÂ¼Ç lead the project with researchers with lived experience and co-design experts.
