Academic Women鈥檚 Career Advancement Program (AWCAP)
The Academic Women鈥檚 Career Acceleration Program (AWCAP) is a targeted initiative designed to support women at Levels C and D in navigating the promotion process to Associate Professor and Professor within the 黑料网大事记 Business School. Unlike general development programs, AWCAP is a strategic intervention aligned with 黑料网大事记鈥檚 2025 gender equity targets. Through focused conversations, tailored training, and a strong commitment to valuing participants鈥 time, AWCAP empowers women to take the next step in their academic careers.

Achieve: Development program
Achieve is a professional development program at 黑料网大事记 Business School designed to support early-career female academics at Levels B and C. Launched in 2024, Achieve equips participants with the tools and confidence to thrive in their academic careers. Through a series of workshops, seminars, and coaching sessions, the program addresses well-documented challenges such as the gender confidence gap, imposter syndrome, and the double-bind dilemma. By investing in the growth of our female academics, Achieve contributes to 黑料网大事记鈥檚 broader mission of inclusive, responsible leadership and transformative learning opportunities, empowering women to define and pursue their own career goals.

Achieve Together 鈥 Female Advisory Group
Achieve Together 鈥 Female Advisory Group听is a new initiative at 黑料网大事记 Business School designed to empower and support female academics in their career development and wellbeing. Led by seven distinguished senior female Professors from across the School, the group offers tailored guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for collaboration. Whether you're seeking advice on research, teaching, leadership, or navigating professional challenges, Achieve Together provides a trusted network of experienced academics committed to helping you thrive. This initiative fosters a supportive environment where female academics can connect, grow, and achieve together.

Proefessional Staff Development Programs
The EDI team, in partnership with the Business School FED team, offer dynamic development opportunities designed to empower our professional staff to communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Through the bespoke masterclass, participants explore how their communication is experienced by others, strengthen their vocal and physical presence, and learn how visibility can be a strategic tool for career progression. Staff are also encouraged to articulate their 鈥渨hy鈥 behind their work, fostering more memorable and impactful conversations. These half day development sessions are facilitated by听Noa Sheer, a negotiation expert and scholar, and听Josephine O'Reilly, a听Presence Leadership Authenticity and Communications Coach.

Faculty Wellbeing Workshops, Training Sessions and Networking Opportunities
黑料网大事记 Business School is committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing, inclusion and connection through a vibrant calendar of faculty-focused events. From mindfulness meditation with Indigenous chocolate makers to interactive climate change simulations, our wellbeing series offers diverse opportunities for staff to engage, reflect, and recharge. Highlights include sessions for Pride Month, R U OK? Day, and Indigenous Business Month, Wear it Purple and International Women's Day, alongside creative workshops like Paint & Sip and cultural retreats at Yula-Punaal. These initiatives are designed to support mental, physical, and social wellbeing, while strengthening community and collaboration across academic and professional staff. With strong participation and overwhelmingly positive feedback, the monthly Faculty Wellbeing Program continues to evolve as a cornerstone of our EDI strategy and 2025+ vision.

Sponsored Individual School Wellbeing Programs
As part of 黑料网大事记 Business School鈥檚 commitment to fostering a healthy and inclusive workplace, the EDI team provides each of our x8 schools dedicated funding to design and deliver tailored wellbeing initiatives for their staff. These programs ranged from mini massages, therapy dog visits, and creative team bonding sessions to guided forest walks, Pilates classes, and sustainable gift packs. Schools also host events like 鈥淏ring Your Dog to Work Day,鈥 wellbeing afternoon teas, and Mental Health First Aid training. These locally led activations empowered teams to connect, recharge, and build a stronger sense of community, while aligning with the Business School鈥檚 broader EDI goals and 2025+ Strategy. - Career Reinitialising Support for Female Academics: A dedicated fund to support female academics returning from extended carer leave, helping them re-establish their research, teaching, and career trajectory.

Professor Isabella Dobrescu is the Deputy Head of the School of Economics and Co-Chair of 黑料网大事记's听. She is a leader in the field of dynamic structural choice models, with applications to consumption, savings, health and cognition. More recently, Isabella has demonstrated how her randomized controlled trials on technology-enhanced education can drive impactful real-world change in schools globally. As a former Deputy Director of the Scientia Education Academy and highly awarded academic and journal editor, Isabella is committed to empowering female academics to build cutting-edge portfolios and advance their careers.
Senior Deputy Dean (Research and Enterprise) | School of Management and Governance
Professor Karin Sanders is a globally recognised expert in Human Resource Management and organisational behaviour, focusing her research on how employees' perceptions of HR practices influence their attitudes and behaviours. With a prolific publication record and leadership roles in academic editing and professional organisations, Karin brings a wealth of knowledge on career development and publishing strategies. Her experience as a former Head of School, now SSD of Research & Enterprise, and a mentor in HR networks makes her a trusted advisor for female academics navigating leadership roles.

Professor Kerry Humphreys specialises in management judgment and decision making research using strategy and performance information. With an international portfolio of awards for research and teaching excellence, Kerry brings valuable insights into how academics can excel across these areas. As a Fellow of CA-ANZ and co-ordinator of global accounting research symposia, she focuses on industry relevant research and international collaboration. As a former 黑料网大事记 Business School BizLab Director and current Director of Academic Development, Kerry has been the driver of mentoring and faculty advancement programs, bringing knowledge on career planning and academic leadership.

Professor Mandy Cheng is a leading behavioural accounting scholar with expertise in strategic performance management, incentives and control. Her research focuses on designing management accounting practices that enhance decision making. As a Fellow of CPA Australia and Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, she has a significant portfolio of top-tier publications, editorial roles and leadership experiences both within and beyond 黑料网大事记. Mandy is committed to building academic capability through active collaborations and supporting female academics in developing their unique approach to synchronising research, education and leadership excellence.

Professor Manju Ahuja is globally recognised for her contributions to information systems research. As a Fellow of the Association of Information Systems and a recipient of the prestigious Lifelong Service Award from the Academy of Management鈥檚 CTO division. Professor Manju exemplifies leadership and academic impact. Her editorial experience with top-tier journals positions her as a great mentor who can guide female academics in refining their research and navigating the publication process.
