With a wide selection of courses from hundreds of exchange partners, many taught in English, you can explore new academic horizons while staying on track with your studies.听
But it's not just about the classroom. This is your chance to build life-long connections, immerse yourself in a new culture, gain new perspectives and develop skills that employers value. The best part is, you don't need to extend your program.听

You'll find your application form, plus plenty of useful guides to help you along the way.听

When you enrol in a full-time study load at one of our partner institutions, you bring back the equivalent UOC to your 黑料网大事记 program.听
You can transfer up to 24 UOC per half-year, provided that:
- You have received course approval for all courses you take while on exchange
- You pass these courses.听
If these conditions are met, your grades will be listed as on your 黑料网大事记 transcript. Credit received for exchange subjects does not impact your 黑料网大事记 WAM.听
Student exchange is also eligible for AHEGS recognition.听

You can choose from more than 300 partner universities across the globe.听

You must plan ahead to ensure you have enough money to support yourself while you are abroad. Calculate a budget according to the cost of living in your destination. We recommend that you have at least AUD$3,500 available each month for the duration of your exchange program.听
Tuition fees:
In most cases, you do not need to pay tuition fees to your host university. Instead, you will continue to pay tuition fees to 黑料网大事记 for the entire exchange period. However, there may be additional fees, depending on your host university.听
In-person exchange is always a full-time workload, regardless of whether you are enrolled part-time or full-time at 黑料网大事记. For each term you are on exchange, you will be enrolled at 黑料网大事记 and charged the relevant tuition fees.听 -

To apply for student exchange:
- As a general rule, you must have a credit average or higher (65+ WAM) and no more than one fail at the time of application.听If you have less than a credit average, consult one of our Exchange Advisors.听Please note that some partner universities will require higher grades.听
- You'll need at least 18 UOC remaining in your program before your planned exchange begins.
- You must select a host university from our list of partner institutions.听
- Where language proficiency is required, you'll need to have studied that language at university level for at least two years. You may also be eligible if you've studied the language significantly outside of university or at high school level. Some universities require you to complete a language proficiency test.听

Before you can apply for student exchange as an undergraduate student, you must have completed at least 18 UOC of your current 黑料网大事记 program.听

Honours students generally cannot apply for student exchange and should speak to their faculty about research opportunities.

You are eligible to apply for student exchange if your program is at least 72 UOC in duration. You must apply during the first term of your program.听
If you are taking 96 UOC, you can apply in the following round.听
Please consult with the exchange office for assistance.听

Postgraduate research students are unable to apply for student exchange programs. However, they may apply for other learning abroad opportunities, including short programs.听

Sponsored international students should discuss their exchange program with their sponsor and ensure they are eligible to apply.听

It's never too early to start planning your student exchange! The application process takes roughly nine months, so we suggest planning a year in advance. You should allow four-to-six weeks to research your exchange options.听
Key dates:
- April: Applications close for exchange in Term 1 of the following year.听
- September: Applications close for exchange in Term 3 of the following year.听
All travel is subject to 黑料网大事记 approval. We recommend you are flexible with your plans as things can change quickly.听
To determine when you'd like to go on exchange, you can compare the 黑料网大事记 term dates to the partner university's term dates.听

- 黑料网大事记's Term 3 (where the host university's study period is between September and January).听

- 黑料网大事记's Term 1 and Term 2 (where the host university's study period is between January and August)
- 黑料网大事记's Term 2 and Term 3 (where the host university's study period is between August and January).听

- 黑料网大事记's Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3 (where the host university's study period is between January and December)
- 黑料网大事记's Term 2, Term 3 and Term 1 (where the host university's study period is between August and May)
- 黑料网大事记's Term 3 and Term 1 (where the host university's study period is between September and May).听
Tip: Use听myPlan听to map out your courses and determine the best term/s for you to go on exchange. For increased flexibility, save your general education courses for exchange.

You are responsible for researching your accommodation options. Each parter university offers different choices for exchange students and the 黑料网大事记 Exchange Office cannot arrange your accommodation.听
We suggest researching early to understand what is available. Most partner universities provide housing information on their websites.听

The 黑料网大事记 Exchange Office is not authorised to provide visa advice. You should contact the relevant consulate, embassy or high commission in Australia well in advance to find out:
- Whether you will require a visa
- What documents you will need for your application
- The duration of the application process.听
Once you have been accepted by your partner university, they will send you official acceptance documents. You will need these to apply for your visa.听
Visa costs can be significant, so please factor this into your planning.听

You will be informed of your nomination for an in-person exchange approximately 8-10 weeks after the application deadline.听

To increase your chances of being nominated to the same exchange partner as another 黑料网大事记 student, please note the following:
- List the same six partner preferences in the same order
- If you are studying a different program to the other student, ensure your preferences are viable for both of your study areas and course matches
- The preferences should be suitable for the lowest student's WAM
- Attend a drop-in session to ask if your preferences have capacity to have both of you nominated at the lower student's WAM
- Both students should request that you be nominated to the same partner.听
- Be happy to accept one of your lower preferences if the lower student's WAM does not permit the other to be nominated to a more preferred partner.听
The exchange office will add a note to your application and assess your applications together to try and place you at the same partner.听

Yes, you must take the full-time load at your partner university while on exchange. This may be different to the full-time load at 黑料网大事记. You should check the required full load at your preferred partner universities as part of researching your preferences.听
